"Em Oi Hanoi Pho" performed by Thanh Lam from the movie "Cyclo"

Em Oi Hanoi Pho

My dear, the streets of Hanoi
I still have you the scent of  orchids
I still have you the scent of milk flowers
Deserted streets the rain softly whispers
Waiting for someone… with long hair and soft shoulder

I still have you orphaned tree in the winter
I still have you orphaned winter roof tops
The orphaned crescent moon in winter

That winter

The sound of a piano from a ruined house
The evening mass has ended but why do the bell chimes linger?
I still have you
that blue, the colour of time
a fading afternoon your hair blowing
your face fades away, then appears
the artist endlessly wandering your streets
suddenly realizes he can't recall a single street

I still have you old streets covered in moss
and tiles on slanted roofs
nostalgic memories return
The afternoon on West Lake, gentle waves ripple the water
Suddenly I realize twilight has fallen; when it came, I don't know

LOL, it took me a while to get it the way I liked it, but it was no easy chore.
